The first anime was made in 1910. It was simply titled "Moving Picture". It was about 10 seconds long and it showed a little boy writing. Anime nowdays is very popular even in America. Here are my top 5 favorite anime.
5. Naruto. This anime is about ninjas. For a while before this anime was made, people thought that ninjas dressed in all black and were spies and stuff. But thanks to the debut of this anime, things have changed. Now people have more respect for ninjas, and Naruto is one of the most popular anime. 
4. Shugo Chara. In this anime, there are ALOT of easter eggs! Amu and her friends have to battle Easter Corporation, who are trying to remove the pure eggs, which sometimes can contain little characyers that gives the person powers. Some people this anime is odd and makes no sense, but it is still cool.
3. Inu Yasha. As they say, this anime is a "Feudal Fairytale". In this anime, Kagome finds out that she has been taken back in time to the Feudal era in Japan. She accidentally shatters some crystal, and she, Inu Yasha, Miroku, and Sango, Shippo, and Kilalal, try to find the shards before Niraku.
2. Sailor Moon. Usagi Tsukino slept in one morning and was late for school. On her way to the school, she comes across some little preschoolers picking on a cat. She helps the cat and takers off the bandaid they put on her 4head. Later, she is taking a nap and the cat comes back, tells Usagi that her name is Luna and that Usagi is the champion of justice Sailor Moon. There were other warriors that came into the series. It is really cool.
